Garner Osborne Circuits Ltd is a leading manufacturer of Printed Circuit Boards, specialising in fast turnaround prototypes along with mass production for our customers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven individual to join the Procurement team as a Buyer. You will manage procurement resources so that the business supply costs and exposure are minimised whilst supplier performance is maximised. The ideal candidate will have an Electronic Industry background would be beneficial.

In the UK, our customers include some of the UKs best known automotive companies. We also work with companies within the Medical, Aerospace & Audio arenas as well as many more.

Costing Engineer
Monday – Friday – 08.00 to 17.00

Garner Osborne Circuits Ltd is a leading manufacturer of Printed Circuit Boards, specialising in fast turnaround prototypes along with mass production for our customers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven individual to join the quotations team as a Costing Engineer.

The role consists of obtaining all required material costs for new and existing products, all of which are assembled in house.

Responsibilities:
  • Costing of BOM’s, primarily electronic components
  • Analysis of new RFQ’s to ensure all required quote data is present
  • Engage with customers to rectify potential manufacturing/procurement issues in a timely manner
  • Price negotiations with suppliers
  • Value engineering
Desirable experience:
  • Experiencein procuring/costing electronic components
  • Knowledge of the Electronic component market
  • Proficient in managing data
  • Excel skills and working knowledge of other MS Office programs
  • Close attention to detail, able to track changes and identify and resolve issues
  • Commercially focussed, able to work under your own initiative as well as within a team
  • Excellent communication and relationship development skills, both internally and with external clients
  • Ability to prioritise work load and meet customer deadlines.
  • Industry sector experience gained within electronics manufacturing industry is beneficial but not essential
